On Economic Development

We have many opportunities to attract a wide variety of businesses to our district. We must seize these opportunities so the people in our district reap the benefits of those new jobs. For that to happen, we must provide training and education so they are workforce ready.

  • We need quality jobs with higher pay, incentives for small business, and the ability to attract companies from a wide range of industries including STEM, robotics, and automotive fields.
  • As leaders of our communities, we should work together to address issues of rural economic development. We need to examine each county, identify their strengths and resources, and pursue opportunities that cater to these strengths and provide competitive advantages.
